Sexual Assault In The News
The Ruth Moore Act 2015 (S. 865 / H.R. 1607) was introduced by Sen. Jon Tester (D-MT) and Rep. Chellie Pingree (D-ME1) in late March.
Stars & Stripes reports:
Officials at the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command (CID) said they will look into allegations that American Army personnel and military contractors sexually assaulted women and girls in Colombia. This is based on an 800-page report recently released claiming that more than 50 women and girls were raped between 2003 and 2007 by U.S. personnel.
**You may remember the recent Rolling Stones article about a UVA rape allegation. The media blindly go where lead. Sexual assault is a serious problem, but some advocates think nothing of "using" the media to advance a meme. They care little for truth, honesty, and getting it right. Thus we now have a fraternity and others trashed in the news---wrongly trashed.
